Package Insights

Package Insights brings the information needed to evaluate and use a package into one page.

Understand a package in one place

Open a package from Smart Package Search or from a repository. The page gives you its install command, README, dependencies, releases, files, and security information without changing tools.

Selecting a version updates the install command and every version-specific view together, so the information always describes the version you intend to use.

Clear package and version details

Package info describes the package across all releases, including its repository, download activity, and latest versions. Version info describes the selected release, including its downloads, timestamps, source repository, license, and package-specific metadata.

Available insights

Documentation and installation

Read the package README in RepoFlow and copy an install command for the selected version. Repository Setup provides the client configuration when it is not already configured.

Dependencies and releases

Review what the selected version depends on, browse available releases and prereleases, and inspect distribution tags where the package format supports them. Dependency insights are available for npm, NuGet, Composer, Debian, Cargo, and Chocolatey packages.

Files and security

Inspect the artifacts that belong to the selected version and review known CVEs through Vulnerability Scanning. Tabs appear only when they apply to the package type.
